Tributaries & Branches of Jamuna River

The Jamuna river has some tributaries and branches river.Major tributaries of Jamuna river are the Korotoa,the Teesta and the Dhorla.The Korotoa is known as Phuljhur .It origins from hilly area of Sikim that means it rises in the Baikunthapur jungles in the extreme north-west of Jalpaiguri district(West Bengal,India) and forms for some distance the boundary between Dinajpur and Rangpur district.It also has a stream in Rajshahi division of Bangladesh.A channel of its presently flows by the ancient ruins of Mahasthangarh in Bogra district.The length of Korotoa river is 200km,the width is 50m and the depth is 6m.

The Jamuna river has a branch of river.The branch river of  Jamuna is Dholessori.The length of this river is 168km,the width is 697m and the depth is 6m.
