The Dhaleswari River

The Dhaleswari is the Branch river of the Jamuna river.The length of this river is 168km,the width is 697m and the depth is 6m.The sixth Bangladesh-China friendship bridge over the Dhaleswari river that connects Narayanganj and Munshiganj district is another attractive place to visit at Munshiganj.This bridge is at Muktarpur, all buses from Dhaka to Munshiganj is used to give a stoppage at the base of the bridge.This bridge was opened for public at 18th February 2008 and it was opened by the Chief Advisor of Bangladesh Government,Mr.Fakhruddin Ahmed.Before the construction of bridge, people of that particular area to cross the river with boats and the vehicles with Ferri.After construction of the bridge ,it takes 15 minutes to cross over the bridge.At the middle of the bridge ,there is a plenty of cool air from the river which can give us great  freshness and pleasure.
